The Great Kamchatka Cinema Expedition

Russian ethnographic cinema has more than a hundried years history. Peak of its development falls on the end of the 20s and beginning of the 30s of XX century. It was due to government order of "union" nations of USSR on the television screen. First ethnographic movie pictires were prodused with participation of professional scholars. The most sighnificant example of such cooperation is experience in making film about Far East peoples by researcher V.K. Arseniev and movie director A.A. Litvinov.
